Gashapon
are small figures or toys sold in capsules from vending machines in Japan, like
gumballs and other cheap toys in the U.S. The major difference between gashapon
and cheap vending toys in the U.S. is that gashapon are generally nice,
detailed items, scuplted with care and attention and painted at least as
well as your average action figure. For space reasons we've taken our gashapon
out of their capsules. Most of our gashapon are sold in sets.
Trading figures are also small figures, like gashapon, but are sold in closed boxes. Usually larger and more detailed than their capsuled counterparts (though not always), they are sold randomly; which figure you get is based on the luck of the draw. We sell some series of trading figures in individual random boxes, and some in sets.
